![]() ![]() Grabber X3 Off RoadĬomparatively speaking its grooves are narrow and their capability to clean themselves automatically by throwing mud off from tread is lesser. Mud traction of X3 is appreciable due to its deep tread but it definitely loses to its competitor in this respect. Scooping pattern over shoulder lugs gives additional support while steering. This self-cleaning action safeguards tread from mud stuffing and leads to outstanding mud traction. Its broad grooves have huge space making evacuation of loose dirt and mud very easy and effective. Open tread design of STT Pro equips it with all qualities needed to roll smoothly through muddy terrain. Off-Road Traction Comparison On Muddy Areas Deep sipes along with open voids make tread capable of wiping water away, thus, provide hydroplaning resistance over slippery surfaces and account for good wet traction as well. Strengthened shoulders provide enhanced handling while taking swift turns on paved tracks. Narrow grooves result in greater contact patch leading to better grip on road. X3 gives superior performance on road than its competitor due to its lower void ratio. Massive grooves along with central sipes on blocks can resist hydroplaning well, yet this property cannot compensate for decreased contact patch and overall on road traction still remains lesser in competition. Minimal contact patch minimizes on road grip of tread leading to poor traction on road. On-Road Traction ComparisonĬooper Pro performs lesser on road in comparison owing to its broader channels among tread blocks. X3 has a superior stone ejection capacity, numerous bold stone ejectors are located in lateral as well as central grooves which toss off disturbing hard fragments of gravel and prevent tread from choking and punctures. Shoulders are strengthened and alternatively scooped offering smooth handling as the vehicle steers along. On the other side, smaller grooves minimize off road traction over muddy or snowy surfaces as mud, snow or slush is not efficiently thrown backwards while rolling ahead. Tread grips on road firmly as more of its area is in-contact with the road. Its void ratio is lower when compared with its competitor, giving it the benefit of increased on road traction. Tread design of X3 exhibits characteristic qualities like relatively narrow grooves, raised blocks, deep siping, scooped shoulders, aggressive sidewall lugs and prominent stone ejectors. Bumpy stone ejectors are located in shoulder grooves which keep troublesome stones, pebbles and rock particles away and resist stone clogging of tread. Alternate scooping of large shoulder lugs optimizes off road traction further as tread can bite rough surfaces deeply and have more evacuation space available. However, these massive grooves give outclass traction on rough off road surfaces as they possess a remarkable ability to evacuate mud, snow and slush out from the tread. Relatively high void ratio leads to lesser contact patch resulting in poor traction on road as the tread cannot grip properly on paved surface. Cooper STT Pro has an aggressive tread design with large deep grooves, bold elevated lugs with central siping and stone ejectors embossed in shoulder grooves. ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() ![]() These apple monkey bread muffins are definitely more of a dessert muffin!īut for a special occasion, like Christmas breakfast or Easter I’d serve them for breakfast. Some muffin recipes like ham and cheese muffins or peanut butter muffins are excellent as a side dish for dinner a simple breakfast. The muffins pull apart into bite sized goodness. The addition of the apples gives the muffins the cinnamony taste of apple fritters or apple pie with less fuss. These muffins are miniature monkey bread. The individual pieces of biscuit puff up and meld together with apple bits in between. I topped off the monkey bread muffins with the butter and brown sugar mixture. The topping caramelizes and drips down into the muffins as they bake, and makes a gooey, delicious muffin. Then I melted some butter and mixed in brown sugar. You could also use a larger muffin pan and make six muffins if you prefer bigger, bakery sized muffins. I used a standard size muffin pan which fit about six pieces of biscuit and a few pieces of apple in each. How many muffins this makes recipe makes depends on the size of your muffin pan. ![]() Once everything was well mixed divided it up into muffin tins. Kids as young as 3 or 4 should be able to help with parts of this recipe and feel like they are really involved in making the recipe. ![]() This is a fun recipe for kids to help with, since they can easily do things like breaking the biscuits apart and shaking the bag. I cored, peeled and chopped an apple and added it to the bag and shook the bag to coated biscuits and apples with a tasty mixture of cinnamon sugar. Then I mixed cinnamon and sugar in a gallon sized bag and threw all the biscuit pieces into the bag. I took the eight refrigerated biscuits out of their tube and divided each of the biscuits into six pieces. Wilton Recipe Right Muffin Pan, 12-Cup Non-Stick Muffin Pan Pillsbury Grands Unbaked Biscuits, HoneyButter, Flaky Layers, 16.3 Ounce – 12 per case. I used Pillsbury Grands biscuits, but any type of buttermilk biscuit would work well in the recipe. Theses muffins are simple to make, since they use refrigerated biscuits as a base. You could leave the apple out of the recipe and it would still be delicious! Alternatively you could add some pecans or walnuts to the muffins to complement the apple flavor even more. I added an apple to the recipe just because I love apples and had some in the refrigerator. So I decided to reduce a basic monkey bread recipe and make individual servings by baking it in muffin tins. This makes the recipe perfect for my family because it makes 6-8 muffins, enough for everyone but not enough to leave leftovers for days. ![]() In addition a standard monkey bread recipe uses 2 or 3 tubes of biscuits and makes enough for 15 people, way too much for a family dessert, at least for my small family. So I like to make individually sized desserts where the serving size is obvious, because then I am more aware of how much I am eating. It is easy to cut a piece way too big and the next thing you know I have over indulged. If a dessert is just sitting in the kitchen it is like it is calling my name and I have a hard time resisting! And when you have something like a Bundt pan full of monkey bread the serving size can be pretty subjective. Well, really too much for me because I am frequently home all day. Monkey Bread is tasty, but a traditional recipe makes too much for my family. Around here apples are easy to get year round so even when it is not apple season they are good quality fruit that is abundant and inexpensive. My family and I love fresh apples and always make lots of delicious apple desserts, like these quick and easy monkey bread muffins. This post contains affiliate links. The retailer embeds Oriient’s SDK in their own mobile app, and Oriient works seamlessly in the background collecting data.
